Dr. Jesus Salvador "Buddy" A. Ligot, Jr. MD, DFAPA graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine in 2001. He finished his residency training in Psychiatry at the State University of New York at Buffalo as Chief Resident in 2007. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He served as the President of the Western New York Psychiatric Society in 2016 and was a member of the APA Assembly as Deputy Representative of the Asian American Caucus from 2017 to 2020. He currently works for the Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center in Coatesville, Pennsylvania and is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Drexel University. He has a private practice in St. Louis, Missouri as well.
