DR. EDUARDO D. ESPIRIDION, MD PSYCHIATRIST |
Dr. Eduardo Espiridion is the Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at Reading Hospital. He completed his Psychiatry residency training at Long Island Jewish Medical Center-Hillside Hospital (now known as Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell at Zucker Hillside Hospital) in Glen Oaks, New York. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General Psychiatry and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. He is also a Certified Physician Executive by the American Association of Physician Leadership. Dr. Espiridion is a Professor at the Drexel University College of Medicine. He holds adjunct faculty appointments at PCOM and WVSOM. He is also the faculty course director for Behavioral Health at Drexel University College of Medicine at Tower Health. Dr. Espiridion is a recipient of several teaching awards, including the DUCOM Class of 2023 and Class of 2025 Golden Apple awards, the Nancy Roeske Certificate of Excellence for Medical Student Education from the American Psychiatric Association, Specialty Preceptor of the Year award (WVSOM), and Outstanding Teacher Recognition award. He is also a 2023 DUCOM Fellow of the Faculty Launch. Dr. Espiridion has been inducted in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society by the Delta Zeta Chapter of the Drexel University College of Medicine. He has 65 published research articles to date. His research has been presented in regional, national, and international medical conferences. Dr. Espiridion also actively engages in research peer reviews. His areas of interest are Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychopharmacology.
